This house was built by de Appelboom eighteen years ago. At the time dark colors were used and heavy materials such as concrete, oak and old bluestone. Around 2014 we modernized it. We wanted something fresher and added more light and air to the house. We painted the walls in a lighter color and replaced parts of the upholstery and furniture. We added a new kitchen, with a light poured floor. By respecting the old materials and combining them with modern techniques, is has become a daring, contemporary home.
